OSCAAR Modifieds & Hot Rods Take the Central Ontario Stage
They’re turning up the heat Saturday, July 25th as the 2026 schedule continues at Peterborough Speedway.
The home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck and Late Model divisions will share the weekly spotlight with a 40-lap headliner for the OSCAAR Modifieds and a 30 lap ‘A’ main for their Hot Rod cousins. King of the Hill timed laps will be the intermission attraction. Spectator gates open at 5:00 with racing at 6:00.
This will be the 150th event in the history of the Overkill Enterprises OSCAAR Modifieds since the group’s inception in May of 2012. Coming into this weekend’s date at Peterborough, close to 20 different drivers have scored points in at least one event on the tour. Dale Reinhart is the current leader by a 12-point margin over Rick Burbridge. Steve Trendell sits 3rd, a single point back of Burbridge.
Thomas Wunsch is the point leader in the Fyre Place and Patio Shop OSCAAR Hot Rod standings. He has 142 points, with Steve Book and Tyler Hawn within striking distance at 134 and 126 points respectively. The next date for the Hot Rod series will be Saturday, August 8th at Brighton Speedway.
Saturday, July 25th will see the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock teams return to the track for the first time since in more than a month. Reigning track champion Alex Dallaire sits atop the point standings and enjoys an 18-point cushion over both Jacob Stavropoulos and Zachary Cheng. ‘Stavro’ is the defending Bone Stock rookie of the year, while Cheng picked up his first career main event win earlier this season.
Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Trucks will also check in for their 2nd show in 3 weeks. The No. 52 machine that has been driven this year by Kyle Gordon and James Townsend sits at the top of the standings with 241 points. There is a logjam next in line, with Adam Chatten, Scott Jacobs and Stephen Bierworth 27, 28 and 29 markers behind.
Fans will also see another outing by the home track Late Models. Perennial race winner Dan McHattie leads the championship chase by 8 points over reigning title holder Ryan Kimball. Kelly Balson sits 3rd, 20 markers back of McHattie’s 305 points. All 3 drivers have scored 2026 feature event wins.
