Mid-Season Bash Brings the Raceday Party to Peterborough Speedway

At the halfway mark of the 2023 schedule, it has been a great year of racing at Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval.

Saturday, July 15th Peterborough Speedway celebrates completing 50% of this year’s regular season with the Pure Country 105 Mid-Season Bash. Everyone knows the best parties only happen once a year. True to form, this will be the season’s one and only appearance for the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says this is the first of some exciting special events as they head down the home stretch.

“From the drop of the green flag, our weekly divisions and special guests have brought their best to the table every week,” said J.P. Josiasse. “As we count down to the 30th Anniversary edition of the Autumn Colours Classic – with new title sponsorship support from APC Auto Parts Centres – we’ll have some of the best weekly racing anywhere in the province to wrap-up the 2023 regular season.”

Purchase your Mid-Season Bash party invitation in advance through the speedway’s online ticketing option or as a ‘cash only’ sale at the trackside, walk-up ticket window on raceday.

Get the most from your Saturday night short track motorsports experience, as the Saturday, July 15th docket also includes the home track Bone Stock, Mini Stock and Late Model divisions, along with the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series. Kid’s rides will once again be the intermission feature. Pit gates will open at 2:30, with grandstands unlocked at 5:00. The night’s first qualifying heat rolls from the staging area at 6:00.

The Autism Awareness Night – in support of the Canadian National Autism Foundation – that was postponed because of the Saturday, June 24th rainout has been added to the July 15th program.
