Its almost time for the talking to stop. The green flag is about to drop as the Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series kicks off its 2026 schedule at Peterborough Speedway. With free spectator grandstand admission – presented by New Country KX 105 – this year’s line-up gets underway Saturday, May 16^th. (In the event of inclement weather, the opening night program will be moved to Sunday, May 17^th)

With a new season of action just around the corner, the popular Central Ontario oval is getting ready to host 5 of the group’s first 6 events. After an exciting 2025 schedule that saw the title fight decided on the final night of the year, officials are hopeful things will pick-up from the same place as the last campaign wrapped up.

“Everything was still up for grabs as teams came to the line for final main event,” said Ontario Legend Car Series spokesperson Robin Jongen. “Championship hopefuls Dawson Drimmie and Mitch Wright came into the 40-lap finale only 8 points apart. Wright would pose for photos in victory lane as feature race winner, while Drimmie took the title with his 2^nd place showing.”

The opening round of Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series racing for 2026 will be presented by A/C Plus Automotive. With a cast of familiar favourites and some newcomers expected to join the group’s travelling road show for the dates on this year’s calendar at Peterborough, Sauble and Flamboro Speedways.
