Central Ontario motorsports fans are hungry for some short track racing excitement and Peterborough Speedway is happy to deliver a thrilling 2020 schedule of action. Everything at Canada’s Toughest 3^rd of a Mile Paved Oval kicks-off with the annual Pure Country 105 Season Opener – featuring free spectator grandstand admission – Saturday, May 16^th. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says this year’s lid-lifter is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what’s in store.

“We listened to the fans and did our homework when it came to setting-up the calendar,” Josiasse said. “Our weekly classes offer some of the hottest wheel-to-wheel battles in the province and we’ll also have several guest divisions throughout the year to round-out our 53^rd consecutive season of racing.”

Josiasse says that in addition to opening night where grandstand admission is free, the popular Summer Toonie/Fan Appreciation Nights – presented by Pepsi – with general admission tickets priced at just $2.00 will return to the track May 30^th, July 4^th and August 15^th. During these shows, cars will be brought onto the front stretch at intermission for an autograph session to meet the drivers.

The Trailers Plus Ontario Legends Series will be part of a hat trick of regular season dates, leading-up to the KOD Disposal Canadian Legend Asphalt Nationals doubleheader Saturday night, August 29^th, with the Mini Stocks, Super Stocks and Late Models and Sunday afternoon, August 30^th including a 50 lap Bone Stock feature, along with the Outlaw Midgets and OSCAAR Hot Rods.

Ontario Modifieds Racing Series teams will have half a dozen appearances – including the tour’s opener – Saturday, May 23^rd, while the Pro Challenge squad visits May 23^rd and August 22^nd. This year’s Hoosier Tire Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model 50 lapper is July 18^th, with 100 lap Ontario Sportsman Series show on August 8^th. The OSCAAR Modified tour has a date Saturday, August 1^st.
