Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models Take the Spotlight at Peterborough Speedway
Its time to add some heat to one of the hottest months of the year. Saturday, July 20th Peterborough Speedway puts out the welcome mat for the only appearance of the year by the Hoosier Racing Tire Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models. Also on the show will be a 50 lap ‘A’ main for the hometown KOD Disposal Super Stocks. The night’s action includes the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock and Jiffy Lube Mini Stock divisions, with kids rides as the intermission feature.
This year’s Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model – presented by The Canadian Concrete Expo – schedule has 6 events and Peterborough Speedway is the second stop on the tour. Barrie, Ontario’s Glenn Watson picked-up the season opening win – over Andrew Gresel and Todd Campbell – Sunday, June 30th at Sauble Speedway. “Fans can expect to see a strong field of Ontario Outlaw Super Late Model entries for this show, including local favourite John Owen, who’ll also be serving as father, mentor and crew chief for his daughter Marlie in our Super Stock division,” said Peterborough Speedway owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “This class has always been a popular part of our annual schedule and we’re hoping to have that practice continue.”
Pit gates for the Saturday, July 20th show will open at 1:30, with the general admission box office selling tickets at 4:00 and the first green flag slated for 5:00. Looking ahead a week on the schedule – to Saturday, July 27th – has action with the hometown Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, KOD Disposal Super Stock and Late Model divisions; plus the Trailers Plus Ontario Legends Series and the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series, powered by Torque Builders Inc. and Gen-3 Electrical.
