Headline Events Highlight Peterborough Speedway Autumn Colours Classic
Race teams and fans from across the province are counting the days until the 33rd annual B & G Towing & Recovery Autumn Colours Classic – Friday, October 9th to Sunday, October 11th at Peterborough Speedway.
The motorsports community is set to converge on the Central Ontario facility known for ‘Making Memories for Life’ as the best of the best chase the honour, prestige and bragging rights that come with a win in one of the sport’s most coveted racing paydays. From the season’s final event for the Ontario Bandolero Series, to the marquee Late Model Electric City 167, the 2026 edition of the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing has it all.
Race action takes the green flag Friday night at 6:00 with the opening round of qualifying for the home track SwitchTire Mini Stock, Super Stock and Battlefield
Equipment Rental Bone Stock fields. The line-up will also include a pair of 15-lap semi features for the KOD Disposal Ontario Bandoleros and 25-lap ‘A’ main events for the GEN3 Electrical SportsMods and Ontario Legend Car Series. Saturday racing begins at 3:30 with Late Model qualifying for the Electric City 167.
Track officials have recently announced that the weekend’s Super Stock feature will be extended to 52 laps in memory of Mark Gordon, who passed away recently. The event will follow Sunday afternoon’s 67-lap SwitchTire Mini Stock headliner, which is a tribute to former competitor Melissa Bullen, who died in May of 2020.
Fans attending the 33rd annual B&G Towing and Recovery Autumn Colours Classic are reminded that Peterborough Speedway is a cash only facility, with an ATM available inside the track’s main gate. Anyone entering the pit area will be required to produce a completed waiver for verification. A link is available on the track website.
Bullring bullet points: As in seasons past, Kawartha Outdoor Décor will host a Thursday night pit party with free hot dogs and live music from Peterborough’s own Space Cadets party duo. Everyone is welcome and the fun gets underway at 8:00. Following the Friday night race program, Peterborough’s Ty Wilson will take the stage with an eclectic blend of alt country and classic rock that has seen him earn more than a million streams and score 3 number 1 singles on the Canadian Indie Country Chart.
