OSCAAR Hot Rods and Modifieds Set to Tackle Peterborough Speedway
The countdown is on as Central Ontario’s favourite weekly race place gets ready to host a pair of popular guest divisions.
Saturday, July 26th, the home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock and Jiffy Lube Super Stock teams will be joined by the OSCAAR Hot Rod and Modified divisions, along with the Outlaw Midgets for an exciting night of Making Memories for Life. King of the Hill timed spectator laps will be the intermission feature. General admission gates will open at 5:00, with racing starting at 6:00.
Rob Bromley is the current point leader in the Hot Rod division, while Kenny McNicol Jr. is the defending race winner. In 2024, Wally Wilson scored his first career
Modified win and holds-down 4th place in this year’s standings after 3 starts, with a top 10 finish in each event. Heading into the Peterborough Speedway event, Dale Reinhart is the OSCAAR Modified point leader.
Action continues Saturday, August 2nd with the Cottage Country Bash, with a free pre-race corn roast and race action that includes a 50 lap SwitchTire Mini Stock Shootout, with the home track Bone Stock, Renegade Truck, Late Model and Junior Late Model divisions. Grandstand gates open at 4:00, with the first Great Canadian RV green flag at 6:00.
A night at Peterborough Speedway is the perfect family entertainment outing. Enjoy a great night of local racing action with some of the trackside food choices anywhere in the province. New this year is Whips n’ Licks Ice Cream stand, with fresh scooped options and specialty items featuring Kawartha Diary products. Fans are reminded that the track is a ‘cash only’ facility, with an ATM available for on-site purchases.
