OMRS Mods Crown a 2024 Champ at the APC Autumn Colours Classic
It’ll all be on the line Friday, October 11th as the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series, presented by GEN-3 Electrical closes its 2024 schedule during the APC Autumn Colours Classic at Peterborough Speedway.
“Even with the opening round of the schedule delayed by weather, our teams still brought some solid numbers to the track for every event”, explained OMRS group official and driver of the No. 90 machine, Rick Warnes. “A quick look at the point standings will show that our series’ performance at Peterborough and Flamboro Speedways was spread-out pretty evenly during the year.”
Heading into the championship finale, John Baker Jr. holds-down the top spot in the point standings, with an advantage of less than 25 points over Tyler Bouillon. Rick Warnes, Rob Warnes and defending rookie of the year Andrew Massey round-out the top 5 positions in the running order. Bouillon has recorded 4 main event wins this year, including the August 31st Maebrae Classic Memorial. ‘JBJ’ scored a trio of feature victories, including the 30 and 31-lap headliners that made-up the July 20th Bill Pickford Memorial. Rick Warnes added his second career main event win Saturday, August 10th at Peterborough.
