For many Central Ontario race fans, it was almost like a day without sunshine. COVID-19 forced the postponement of the 2020 edition of the Autumn Colours Classic, but officials at Peterborough Speedway have confirmed that the 3-day season-ending spectacular – presented by Lucas Oil and Pure Country 105 – will return October 8^th, 9^th and 10^th at Canada’s Toughest 3^rd Mile Oval. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says he is thrilled to be able to share the news that the province’s popular weekend is coming back.

“The way things have changed over the last couple of years, its great to pass along some positive information to our fans,” Josiasse said. “Autumn Colours has been a Peterborough Speedway tradition for close to 30 years and we were determined to see the event return in 2021. Some of the final details still need to be ironed-out, but we’re moving full speed ahead with plans for the Thanksgiving Weekend event.”

As in in the past, Josiasse says the opening day of the Fall finale will be devoted to technical inspection, a first round of qualifying for Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Super Stock, Legend, OSCAAR Hot Rod and Modified divisions and the annual Young Guns’ events for selected Mini Stock and Super Stock racers. Spectator gates open at 5:00, with racing at 6:00.

Saturday, October 9^th has the 2^nd round of qualifying, time trials for the Late Model/Pro Late Models plus ‘B’ features for the Bone Stocks, Mini Stocks and Super Stocks. Main events for the Midgets and Pro Sprints. Grandstands open at 2:00, with the first green flag at 3:30.

The weekend wraps-up with a full Sunday afternoon of feature events including Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Super Stock, Modifieds, Legends, Hot Rods and the 2021 running of the Electric City 167 for Late Model and Pro Late Models. Gates open at 11:30, with racing at 12:30.
