Statement from Peterborough Speedway concerning the 2020 Season and the COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic:
Amid some very trying times here at home and around the world, the team at Peterborough Speedway put together its 2020 schedule anticipating a Saturday, May 16th opening night. Knowing the uncertainty of current events, track officials will continue to closely monitor conditions with an eye toward giving fans and racers the best possible motorsports experience in Central Ontario. While we’re doing everything possible to maintain a positive attitude where racing is concerned, please rest assured that our 53rd consecutive season of operation will only begin with provincial authorization and an ‘all-clear’ that the current COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic is in remission.
We are fully committed to the personal safety and security of everyone who enters the property at any time. Our entire team of staff and officials sends prayers and best wishes for the care and wellbeing of our racing families and all area residents. We will continue to provide updates through the track’s web-site and social media platforms as the projected season opening date draws closer.
