The 2012 Season Wraps Up With An Afternoon Of Action

Even though the weather was cool, the hottest racing doesn’t stop here at Peterborough Speedway, Canada’s Toughest 1/3 Mile Oval until the middle of October. The final 250 lap enduro race, sponsored by The Old Smoke House,  held some of the best action we saw all year with a full field of 41 cars to start.

As the season comes to a close, we had a very strong performance come out of Dan Cooper(#17) driving in the 8 cyl. division who blasted out of the starting gates and gave it his all. Cooper managed to put a lap on all of his competition and never once had to pull off and into the pits. At the end of the race Cooper took the checker flag and set a new standard of Enduro racing at Peterborough Speedway.

The other story was with Charlie Pederson(#21) as he put on a great show in the 4 & 6 cyl. division as he shook up the show. Pederson fought with all his power to make sure no one had an easy time in front of him as he bobbed and weaved throughout his opponents. When the race finished Pederson achieved first place in the 4 & 6 cyl. division and second place overall.

We would like to thank many people for the amazing season here at Peterborough Speedway, Canada’s Toughest 1/3 mile oval with a special thanks to all of our race fans who show up throughout the season and all of our dedicated racers who come every weekend to put on such a great performance and finally a special thanks to all of our sponsors.

See you all next season, for some of the best racing here at Peterborough Speedway
