An amazing afternoon racing session at Peterborough Speedway, Canada’s Toughest 1/3^rd mile oval. A huge crowd showed there support as Pepsi sponsored the final Toonie night of the season. The Peterborough Shriners put on their 50/50 draw once again with a grand prize of $652 and went to Dave Gain of Peterborough.

Battlefield Equipment 4-Fun

The Afternoon started with the Battlefield Equipment 4-Funs with some amazing racing as current points leader, Chris Mulders(#99) was under attack from Neil Hana(#23).  Meanwhile Tiffany Vandebelt(#88) was battling a familiar challenger of Ryan Oosterholt(#79). Neil Hana(#23) won the feature, with Chris Mulders(#99) taking second and Ryan Oosterholt(#79) took third.

Peterborough Hyundai Ministocks

One of the most competitive series of racing in Ontario, with some of the best racers in the division make Peterborough Speedway there home track as we saw Tyler Junkin(#41) blast into the lead. Brandon Hana(#47) is an unfamiliar face , however he gave points leader Alex Lees(#07) a run for his money as the two competitors were neck and neck. After a caution flag just over half way, Tyler Junkin(#41) and season rival Alex Lees(#07) started side by side with some great action between the two. Tyler Junkin(#41) ended up taking first, Alex Lees(#07) took second and Ember Junkin(#19) got third.

Hurricane Midgets

The little guys with the powerful engines made some noise as Ryan Fraser(#94) went for a nice Sunday drive, casually lapping the back of the pack, however anything can and usually does happen with the midgets on the field. Out of nowhere, Amanda McCall(#22) just sling shot her way out in front of everyone else back the back of the pack. James Bound(#83) is a contender for Rookie of the year and makes his way into the lead and battles it out with big names such as Robin Mclean(#97) and Connor Carrothers(#93). With a slick move, Connor Carrothers(#93) went from third to first in one quick move just under 100 feet. James bound(#83) took second and Ryan Fraser(#94) grabbed third.

Vangaurd Self-Storage Late Models

The crowd pleaser 5 time Peterborough Speedway Champion – Kelly Balson(#10) starts us off with a strong lead over Todd Delisle(#22) who was the Late Model runner up for 2011 Autumn Colours Classic putting on the pressure. Current points leader, Bryan Sudsburry(#29) looks for an opening on the #55 of Darrin Kurnin. Kelly Balson(#10) started strong and ended with a checkered flag, followed by Todd Delisle(#22) and first time back this season, Darrin Kurnin(#55) took third.

OSCAAR Modifieds

The fastest machines in Ontario put their skills on the line when they compete here at Peterborough Speedway, Canada’s toughest 1/3 mile oval. The strongest modified racer – Gary McClain(#8) shoots out of the starting gate and takes a dominating lead with family members Brent McClain(#7) chasing him down and Brian McClain(#47) right behind him. After some action in turn two, Brian McClain(#47) takes the lead with Time Burke(#99)
hot behind him. Within 5 laps, Brent(#7) and Gary(#8) McClain go from the back of the pack and into the top five with unbelievable power.  In the end Brian McClain(#47) won the feature race, Brent McClain(#7) took second and Tim Burke(#99X) got third.
