You’ve Got Fathers, We Got Midgets
Tonight at the track we celebrated Father’s day by performing trivia with amazing prizes brought to you by Peterborough Speedway. We also had some equally special guests tonight as the Lucas Oil Can-Am TQ Midgets came out and put on a spectacular show. The roar of the engines was so powerful that you could barely think as they took to the track and could only watch in awe. A 50-50 raffle brought to you by the Peterboroughs Shiner’s Club was also done for a good cause. Do not forget to come to Canada’s toughest 1/3 mile oval as next Saturday a 100 lap endurance race with be held along with the other racing divisions that are supported here.
Battlefield Equipment Four-Funs were just absolutely amazing tonight, as Chris Mulders (#99) won heat #1 as well as the feature race making the Farm Bro Racing team proud. Ryan Baben (8) won both heat 2 and 4 with just dominating power and control. The youngest Griffin Powell finished in the winner circle in heat three, showing how this sophomore racer will become a power house in just a few years.
Parry Springs Renegade Trucks was out of this world as Jeff Remmington in the 29 Perry Springs truck took the first heat. Andy McCann (#12) launched into the first position in the second heat and never gave it up giving him the win. Stephan “Daddy” Beirworth (#49) took the feature win as he rocketed by past everyone and into the winner circle.
Peterborough Hyundai Mini Stocks: Alex Lees in the number 07 opened up with the first heat win showing just how much work he has put into his machine. Heat numbers two and four victory’s belonged to Doug Butler (#10) as he dominated the scene with unbelievable speed. The real story however belongs to Tyler Junkin in the number 41 as he moves forward searching for the overall victory for the year by taking both heat 3 and the feature race tonight without question.
The Lucas Oil Can-Am Midgets came out to play tonight as a fierce battle occurred over the first spot. The Midgets came flying out of the gates ready to rumble and to no surprise the top racers were all at the head of the pack. After 25 quick and exciting laps Todd Cresswell in the number 3, a veteran racer in this division of racing.
