Counting Down to the Peterborough Speedway 2023 Season Finale

Time to make a difference in the final regular season point standings is running out.

Saturday, August 26th Peterborough Speedway hosts the second to last event of this year’s schedule with the home track Bone Stock, Super Stock and Late Model divisions joined by the second of back-to-back dates for the Canadian Legend Car Series. Grandstand gates open at 5:00, with the night’s first green flag at 6:00.

With just a pair of point-paying shows remaining, teams will be gearing-up and looking for every possible advantage in the chase for this year’s overall titles. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says that this is the time for the local racers to put it all on the line.

“The prestige and bragging rights that come with being named a 2023 track champion are what everyone is shooting for,” said J.P. Josiasse. “Some will be adding another crown to their already impressive career stats, while others have their sights set on a first ever honour.”

Discounted advance grandstand passes – if purchased before midnight Friday, August 25th – are available through the ‘buy tickets’ tab on the Peterborough Speedway website. General admission passes are available as a cash only sale at the trackside, walk-up ticket booth on raceday. Pricing and details can be found at the ‘coming events’ tab track’s home page.

Still ahead on this year’s regular season line-up will the annual Championship Clash, Saturday September 2nd. Annual titles in the hometown Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Renegade Truck, Super Stock, Late Model and Junior Late Model divisions will be decided on a program that will also include Non Winners Races and the Ontario Modifieds Racing Series. Grandstand gates open at 3:00, with racing at 5:00.
