Local Action Returns S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y Night at Peterborough Speedway

Time is ticking away and only 3 dates remain in the 2023 hometown racing schedule at Peterborough Speedway.

Check out the action Saturday, August 19th at Canada’s Toughest 3rd Mile Oval as the Mini Stock, Super Stock, Late Model and Junior Late Model divisions are joined by the first of back-to-back Central Ontario racing weekends for the Canadian Legend Car Series, with Kid’s Barrel Races as the intermission feature. Grandstands open at 5:00 with racing at 6:00.

“After last weekend – when all but one of our feature races ran without a yellow flag – we’ve set the bar pretty high where the balance of our regular season shows are concerned,” said Peterborough Speedway track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “Racers in our regular classes are looking for an advantage that could help them clinch the season title. They’re putting it all on the in the hunt for the overall championship.”

Looking ahead to the Saturday, August 26th line-up will see the Canadian Legend Car Series joined by the home track Bone Stock, Super Stock and Late Model divisions, with Kid’s Bike Races at intermission. Although listed in the initial printed schedule, the Outlaw Midget teams will not be included in the program.

One of the most valuable promotional tools in this year’s Peterborough Speedway kit would have to be the video reports by FILMkelly. The driver profiles, raceday reviews and behind the scenes summaries have been very popular with fans, drivers and track officials. Learn more about Central Ontario’s favourite place to race with regular updates found on the track’s interactive social media homes.
