The 50th Anniversary Season at Peterborough Speedway has quickly become one of the most popular attractions in Central Ontario. Action at the venue known as Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval returns with the Mid-Summer Bash – Saturday, July 22nd – presented by Country 105. This week’s special event is a 50-lap feature event for the home track Thunder Car division, with Jiffy Lube Mini Stocks, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Trucks, Organics & Glass Late Models and Ontario Modifieds Racing Series classes also on the agenda.
“The extra-distance features are a hit with the fans and the drivers,” said track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “We have folks who are hard-core supporters of all our classes. Some people love the action and excitement of the 4Fun teams, while others are caught-up in the thrills of the Mini Stock bunch. The Late Models have their cheering section and Saturday night, we’ll conclude the 50th Anniversary 50 lapper series with the Thunder Car division.”
For the Saturday, July 22nd program, pit gates will open at 3:00, with the general admission grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the night’s first qualifying heat rolling to the Great Canadian RV green flag at 6:00.
