It’s a special year of action at Peterborough Speedway, as the popular Central Ontario venue celebrates its 50^th Anniversary Season.

Throughout the 2017 schedule, the track’s weekly divisions will each run a 50-lap main event and Saturday, June 10^th the Jiffy Lube Mini Stocks will take their turn in the spotlight, in a show that will also features the Battlefield Equipment 4Fun, Thunder Car, Organics & Glass Late Model and Ontario Modifieds Racing Series classes. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says that even with just 3 shows in the books, its already proving to be an exciting season.

“Our promotional team has put together a variety of special events with a 50^th Anniversary theme for fans and race teams,” Josiasse said. “We’re looking forward to a great year and so far, our car counts have been great and fans have seen some excellent racing in all 5 of our weekly divisions and our guest classes. We’ll keep working hard and put our best effort into everything we do throughout the season.”

For Saturday, June 10^th pit gates will open at 3:00, with the general admission grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the night’s first green flag at 6:00.

Looking ahead to Saturday, June 17^th when the APC Pro Late Model Tour returns, along with the home track Battlefield Equipment Rental 4Fun, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck and Thunder Car divisions. The Chase for the Colours Pole Qualifying event is Sunday, July 2^nd and Country 105 presents the Mid-Summer Bash – with a 50 lap Thunder Car main event – Saturday, July 22^nd. The Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series comes back Saturday, August 12^th. All special events include selected weekly racing classes. See the web-site for complete details.
