Cranking Up the Season’s Hottest Action at Peterborough Speedway

IMG_4000 (2)With summer’s arrival just around the corner, the year’s biggest shows at Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved are still to come.

Things are starting to heat-up and multiple wins, combined with some competitive runs have the early-season point chases in each of Peterborough Speedway’s weekly racing divisions are tighter than ever. Drivers are looking to gain any advantage possible that could lead their team to the 2016 track championship. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says it’s a great time to be a fan at the tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road, west of the Liftlock City.

“We’ve had several caution-free main events and 30 lap feature races decided by the length of a front bumper,” said Josiasse. “From week-to-week, there’s no telling who might be the next participant to find their way to Dart Heating & Air Conditioning victory lane. New fan favourites are emerging as each lap clicks off the scoreboard and the pack battles for the checkered flag.”

Don’t miss your chance to see what all the excitement is about as the INEX Ontario Legends Series joins the Battlefield Equipment Rental 4Fun, Paul Davis Systems Thunder Car and Earl Ireland Auto Sales Late Model divisions Saturday, June 18th.

Looking ahead on the schedule finds the annual Autism Awareness Night – Saturday, June 25th – with the Can Am TQ Midgets, Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, Renegade Truck, Late Model and Legends classes, with Kid’s Barrel Races at intermission. For each event, pit gates will open at 3:00 with the spectator areas unlocked at 5:00 and the night’s first qualifying heat at 6:00.
