Double Toonie/Fan Appreciation Night is Ready to Pack Peterborough Speedway

A crowd favourite special event is coming to Central Ontario. Pepsi presents the final Double Toonie Fan Appreciation Night of the 2025 schedule – Saturday, August 16th – at Peterborough Speedway.

With $ 4.00 spectator grandstand admission and a trackside Fan Appreciation autograph session at intermission, it promises to be a great night of family motorsports entertainment featuring the home track Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, Jiffy Lube Super Stock and Nadeau’s Collision Service Junior Late Model divisions, plus the annual Bill Pickford Memorial for the GEN-3 Electrical OMRS SportsMods. Spectator gates will open at 4:00, with the night’s first green flag at 5:00.

“After experiencing back-to-back rainouts to start the schedule, the rest of the year has flown by,” said Peterborough Speedway track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “It’s hard to believe that we’re down to less than a handful of dates before wrapping up the 2025 regular season.”

Still to come before the calendar closes will be a Saturday, August 23rd date with the home track Jiffy Lube Super Stock, KOD Disposal Late Model divisions, along with the Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series and Outlaw Midgets. Special attractions will also include reverse and flagpole races, with Kid’s Bike Races as the intermission feature. Grandstand gates open at 5:00, with racing at 6:00.

With a 4:00 start, the Saturday, August 30th Championship Clash will decide the overall track titles and will also include the GEN-3 Electrical OMRS SportsMods and the annual Non-Winners Races.
