2024 Racing Excitement Comes to Life at Peterborough Speedway
A fresh season of local racing is getting ready to rock. All that is missing is you.
They’re ‘Making Memories for Life’ at Peterborough Speedway and the new schedule gets underway Saturday, May 18th with the Pure Country 105 Season Opener, featuring free spectator grandstand admission. Be on hand as the best of hometown motorsports returns to Central Ontario with Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stock, SwitchTire Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, Jiffy Lube Super Stock and KOD Disposal Late Model, plus the Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series taking the green flag.
“Our team is ready to get the new season underway and we’re just putting the finishing touches on the remainder of the 2024 schedule,” said track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “We released the line-up early in March at the Toronto Motorama show and since then, we’ve added dates to introduce the JDC Motorsports Ontario Bandolero Cars to the calendar.”
In addition to the traditional weekly classes, Peterborough Speedway will once again add selected special events to the agenda. Saturday, June 15th KOD Disposal presents the APC Late Model 100, with the Qwick Wick Firestarter Super Stock 50, plus the home track Bone Stock and Renegade Truck divisions.
Saturday, July 13th, Pure Country 105 presents the Mid-Season Bash, featuring the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models, along with the hometown Bone Stocks, Mini Stocks, Renegade Trucks and Late Models, with Kid’s Rides at intermission.
Tirecraft welcomes the Ontario Sportsman Series for a 100 lapper Saturday, July 27th. That night’s program also includes Bone Stock, Super Stock, Late Model, Junior Late Model and Outlaw Midget racing.
As always, the 2024 schedule will wrap-up with the APC Autumn Colours Classic. This year’s 31st annual edition of the Super Bowl of Stock Car Racing will take the green flag October 11th through 13th at the tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road.
Still to come before the regular season kick-off, cars will once again be displayed at Lindsay Square. Keep an eye on the Peterborough Speedway info sites for complete details.
