Championship Clash Crowns Peterborough Speedway 2026 Track Titles
Nearly every Saturday night since May 16th, the Peterborough Speedway promotional team has welcomed fans to Central Ontario for the best in local short track motorsports. The venue’s 2026 regular season schedule wraps up Saturday, September 5th with the Championship Clash, presented by APC Auto Parts Centres.Even though they’ve been on the sidelines since their last weekly appearance – Saturday, August 8th – the home track Bone Stock teams will come into the final event of the regular season with a tight title challenge. Defending champion Alex Dallaire has only a single point advantage over last year’s rookie of the year Jacob Stavropoulos. 2-time feature winner Zachary Cheng is 3rd, 23 points out of the lead.
With a combination of weather and scheduling issues, local Super Stocks have also been away from the popular oval on Mount Pleasant Road. The group has made 6
appearances on this year’s line-up, but not since Saturday, August 1st. 2018 and 2022 track champion leads the division’s standings, by a 47-point margin over Herb Walters. Coltin Everingham holds down 3rd spot, 52-points behind Jacobs.

Ironically, a pair of championship rivals – Ryan Kimball and Kelly Balson – finished just behind him in the feature race rundown. The No. 52 Renegade Truck division ride – that has been shared this year by Kyle Gordon and James Townsend – also scored a main event victory during the track’s penultimate outing.
