Hometown Bone Stocks are the Peterborough Speedway Featured Attraction

Some of the best racing on the annual Peterborough Speedway docket comes from the Battlefield Equipment Rental Bone Stocks. Saturday, July 6th the track’s entry level division will take its much-deserved place in the spotlight when teams run a 50-lap feature event.

Since this year’s opening night, close to 25 different teams have turned a lap at the popular oval on Mount Pleasant Road. To date, the class has seen 3 different feature race winners in as many events. In addition to the 50-lap headliner, the home track Super Stock and Junior Late Models are on the schedule, along with the 2024 Peterborough Speedway debut of the OMRS Modifieds and the return of the Ontario Legend Car Series. Because of recent rainouts, the raceday line-up will also include a make-up Super Stock main event held over from Saturday, June 8th. Spectator gates will open at 5:00, with racing at 5:30, a half-hour earlier than the scheduled start-time.

“After recent back-to-back rainouts, our racers, officials and fans are anxious to get back to Making Memories for Life,” said Peterborough Speedway track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse. “It has been a rough couple of weeks, but there are better days ahead. We’re hoping we’ve seen the last of the wet weather and look forward to enjoying more of the sport we love.”

Still to come on this year’s line-up will be the Pure Country 105 Mid Season Bash, featuring the Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models, along with the home track Bone Stock, Mini Stock, Renegade Truck and Late Model divisions, with Kid’s Rides as the intermission Saturday, July 13th. The raceday line-up will also include Bone Stock and Late Model features that were postponed from Saturday, June 8th. Spectator gates will open at 5:00, with racing at 5:30, a half-earlier than the start-time posted on the printed schedule.

Passes for all Peterborough Speedway events are available in advance by selecting the ‘buy tickets’ option on the track website. Tickets can also be picked-up on raceday, at the walk-up ticket booth. Fans are reminded that the venue is a ‘cash only’ facility.
