Fan Appreciation Night is Next on the Table at Peterborough Speedway
The biggest events in the history of Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval are on the 50th Anniversary Season schedule at Peterborough Speedway.
Saturday, June 3rd the first of this year’s Summer Toonie Nights – presented by Pepsi – is on the bill. Not only will fans be treated to spectator grandstand admission for just $2,00, there will also be a Fan Appreciation autograph session at the intermission and a 50-lap main event for the Organics & Glass Late Model division. Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says its like rolling 3 special events into one spectacular night of family entertainment.
“We’re doing things in a big way all season,” Josiasse said. “There will be 50 lap main events for 4 of our weekly divisions throughout the year and Saturday night, the Late Models will get the first kick at the can. With the toonie general admission grandstand price, you could bring a group of 5 family members or friends to the races for just $10.00 and they’ll get to head trackside during the intermission to get autographs from their favourite driver.”
The itinerary for Saturday, June 3rd – with the Battlefield Equipment Rental 4Fun, Jiffy Lube Mini Stock, Trent Lakes Complete Plumbing Renegade Truck, Late Model and Trailers Plus.net Eastern Ontario Legends Series divisions – has pit gates opening at 2:00 and the spectator grandstands unlocked at 4:00. Racing starts at 5:00.
Looking ahead to Saturday, June 10th will have the home track 4Fun, Thunder Car, Late Model and a 50 lapper for the Jiffy Lube Mini Stocks. The Ontario Modifieds Racing Series will also make their 2nd appearance of the year. Pit gates open at 3:00, with the general admission grandstands unlocked at 5:00 and the first green flag at 6:00.
As summer rolls on, the APC Pro Late Model Tour returns Saturday, June 17th. The Chase for the Colours Pole Qualifying event is Sunday, July 2nd and the Lucas Oil Sportsman Cup Series 100 lapper takes the spotlight on Saturday, August 12th.
