Championship Clash at Peterborough Speedway Puts it all on the Line
The time has come to leave the book of sports clichés on the shelf.
Whether you refer to it as the Title Tilt, a Fight for the Finish Line or a Charge to the Checkers, the 2015 edition of Peterborough Speedway’s Championship Clash – Saturday, September 5th – will determine this year’s overall winners in the Battlefield Equipment Rental 4Fun, Mini Stock, Renegade Truck, Paul Davis Systems Thunder Car and Earl Ireland Auto Sales Late Model divisions at Canada’s Toughest 3rd of a Mile Paved Oval.
Track owner and promoter J.P. Josiasse says it’s a great way to wrap-up what has been a strong regular season of action at the popular Central Ontario venue.
“Fans have seen some exciting racing in every class since the year’s first green flag Saturday, May 16th,” said Josiasse. “Our car counts have been solid and that helps create some excellent fan support week after week. Each division has seen multiple feature winners; including some first-timers. It’s been a thrilling campaign that will culminate with a night of action that will see the season’s title-holders named.”
For the Saturday, September 5th event – that will also include the OSCAAR Outlaw Super Late Models – pit gates will open at 1:00, with the spectator grandstands unlocked at 3:00. The night’s first Great Canadian RV green flag will wave at 5:00.
Looking ahead on the schedule for the tight, tricky bullring on Mount Pleasant Road, west of the Liftlock City sees the 23rd Annual Edition of the Autumn Colours Classic – presented by Lucas Oil Products – Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 9th to 11th. Eight different racing divisions will tackle Peterborough Speedway, providing 3 straight days of action.
